Congratulations to The Sportsman in Amberley, crowned Arun & Adur's Pub of the Year! A true community success story, the pub was saved and brought back to life by local residents who continue to run it today. As well as serving food, it plays host to a range of community groups, regular events, and two popular beer festivals each year.
A number of branch members visited the pub on Saturday 28th February when the chairman Malcolm presented the award certificate to staff at the pub. This is a particular achievement as the pub only re-opened as a community owned venture two years ago and is now doing well with three regularly changing local ales on offer.
