About the Tour

Our trail begins at The George. Conveniently located equidistant from the bus and train stations, this Wetherspoons pub is an ideal meeting point for groups. Inside, you'll find a constantly changing range of real ales to kick off your tour.

From The George, it's just a short walk to The New Inn. Situated near the beach, this charming pub has two bars and is known for its selection of guest ales and a reliably warm welcome.

Leaving the New Inn, take a short walk to the bus stop for a quick ride to Rustington. Here you'll find The Quill, a must-visit for cask ale enthusiasts. They always have four excellent ales on, served directly from gravity-fed casks in a temperature-controlled cool room.

Hop back on the bus for the trip to East Preston and our next venue, The Great Dane. This unique spot operates as a coffee shop by day and a micropub by night. It offers four cask choices from its cool room, alongside ciders and keg beers from the bar. On sunny days, you can enjoy a drink out front, and there's also a covered area at the back.

Another bus ride takes you to Ferring, where two excellent stops are located close together. First is the Henty Arms, which typically features two cask ales and is renowned for serving delicious food. If you're visiting in early summer, look out for their annual beer festival!

Next door is The Rassy and the Snug, a real local gem. It's a delicatessen with a cosy bar hidden in the back room. You can order fantastic food from the deli counter to enjoy with your drink. While the bar currently focuses on keg beers, it always showcases the best of our local breweries.

Our final bus journey takes you to Goring to conclude the trail. Here you have two fantastic final venues to choose from: The Fynn and the Elephant in the Room, providing a perfect end to your ale adventure.
