For the times when you have missed your train or it has been delayed, here are some quick stops that are less than 5 minutes walk away from a train station. If you have a train ticket, ensure that it allows you to leave the station.
Littlehampton
The George, 14-18 Surrey Street, Littlehampton, BN17 5BG
- Exit the train station and turn left onto Terminus Road (towards the town centre)
- Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing then continue walking along Terminus Road.
- The road bends by the clock tower, continue round the bend onto Surrey Street
- The George is on the right hand side of the road.
Durrington
The Castle, 7 The Strand, Durrington, BN12 6DL
(Walking time 3 minutes)
- Exit the train station via Platform 1.
- Continue down The Causeway.
- The Castle is at the end of the road on the left hand side.
West Worthing Station
The Foresters, 13 Station Parade, Tarring Road, BN11 4SS
(Walking time 1 minute)
- Exit the train station via Platform 2
- Cross Tarring Road
- Turn right and the Foresters is a few doors down the road.
Green Man Ale & Cider House, 17 South Street, Tarring, BN14 7LG
(Walking time 2 minutes)
If exiting the train station from Platform 2 (West bound trains)
- Turn left onto Tarring Road.
- Follow the pavement around to the right and cross the railway line.
- Continue down South Street. The Green Man Ale & Cider House is on the left hand side.
If exiting the train station from Platform 1 (East bound trains)
- Follow the footpath from the platform to join South Street.
- Continue down South Street. The Green Man Ale & Cider House is on the left hand side.
Worthing Station
Bottle & Jug Dept, 21 South Farm Road, BN14 7AD
(Walking time 3 minutes)
- Exit the train station from the ticket office located on Platform 3
- Turn right onto Railway Approach then right onto Cross Street.
- At the end of the road, turn right onto South Farm Road and cross the level crossing.
- Continue on South Farm Road. Bottle & Jug Dept is on the left hand side of the road.
On your return walk don't forget to give yourself time to get back across the level crossing!!
The Brooksteed, 38 South Farm Road, BN14 7AE
(Walking time 4 minutes)
- Exit the train station from the ticket office located on Platform 3
- Turn right onto Railway Approach then right onto Cross Street.
- At the end of the road, turn right onto South Farm Road and cross the level crossing.
- Continue on South Farm Road. The Brooksteed is on the right hand side of the road.
On your return walk don't forget to give yourself time to get back across the level crossing!!
The Railway Hotel, 26-27 Railway Approach, BN11 1UR
(Walking time 1 minute)
- Exit the train station from the ticket office located on Platform 3
- Turn left and walk to the zebra crossing.
- Cross Railway Approach and you will see The Railway Hotel in front of you.
Lancing Station
The Railway, 1 North Street, Lancing, BN15 9AH
(Walking time 1 minute)
If exiting the train station from Platform 1 (East bound trains)
- Cross Sompting Road and you will see The Railway on the left hand side.
If exiting the train station from Platform 2 (West bound trains)
- Turn left then left again to reach the level crossing (a footbridge is available)
- Cross the level crossing and you will see The Railway on the left hand side.
The Stanley Ale House, 5 Queensway, Lancing, BN15 9AY
(Walking time 4 minutes)
If exiting the train station from Platform 1 (East bound trains)
- Cross Sompting Road and continue right along the road.
- At the end of the road turn left onto North Road.
- Follow North Road. Cross North Road at the pedestrian crossing and continue following the road.
- Turn right into Queensway. You will see The Stanley Ale House on the left hand side in the corner of the precinct.
If exiting the train station from Platform 2 (West bound trains)
- Turn left then left again to reach the level crossing (a footbridge is available)
- Cross the level crossing.
- Then follow above instructions from bullet point 3
