About the Tour

Embark on a delightful walking tour through historic Arundel, exploring some of its finest pubs. Our journey begins south of the river at the White Hart. Step inside to find a welcoming log fire crackling in the centre of the pub and enjoy a perfectly kept pint of Harvey's.

From there, a short stroll across the picturesque River Arun brings you to The Swan. This classic Fuller's pub is an excellent spot to refuel, offering a fine selection of ales and a full food menu. A little further on, you'll find the Red Lion, another great destination for a meal. It boasts four hand pumps, always featuring a rotating guest ale.

Prepare for a scenic walk up the hill towards the top of Arundel—there are benches midway to pause and admire the view. Your reward at the summit is the magnificent Arundel Cathedral, which stands beside our next two venues. The Fauna Brewery Tap Room, housed in a historic building, serves their unique brews alongside delicious pizza. Directly opposite is St Mary's Gate, a beautifully refurbished Hall and Woodhouse pub you might recognise from Channel 5's 'The Hotel Inspector'.

Next, enjoy a leisurely stroll downhill to the Kings Arms. With its traditional two-bar layout, this pub is a reliable favourite for great cask ale all year round. Continue along the charming Tarrant Street to find The Eagle, a cosy pub that always features two well-kept cask ales.

Your final destination is the Norfolk Tap. Whether you choose the lively atmosphere of the main bar or the peaceful seclusion of its courtyard, it's the perfect place to conclude your tour. With all the pubs within easy walking distance, this trail makes for a fantastic day out in Arundel.
