Discover the perfect blend of old and new on this walking tour, featuring an eclectic mix of Worthings's best traditional pubs and innovative micropubs. This walking tour takes in 5 venues to the East of Worthing town center. Please take care when crossing roads.
About the Tour
Stop 1: Toad in the Hole Our journey begins at the Toad in the Hole, the official Worthing taproom for Hand Brew Co. You'll find their freshest creations on both cask and keg, alongside a curated selection of guest beers. Grab some takeaways from the beer fridge, or head to the backroom to try your hand at the traditional pub game 'Toad.' The room also doubles as a gallery, with an ever-changing display of local art.
Stop 2: The Selden Arms A short walk brings us to The Selden Arms. Now run by the acclaimed team behind Brighton's Hole in the Wall, this pub boasts an impressive lineup: expect to find 11 keg lines, 3 ciders, and around 5 cask ales. They are also well-known for their bi-annual beer festivals.
Stop 3: Beer No Evil Next, we visit our first micropub, Beer No Evil. Opened in 2018, this spot combines a bottle shop and a taproom. Enjoy a drink from one of their six rotating taps (with outdoor seating available) or browse the shelves for something to take home. They also offer pressurized flagon fills and host regular events and tastings.
Stop 4: The Egremont Our next stop is The Egremont, a fantastic traditional pub with something for everyone. It's a reliable spot for a pint of Harvey's on cask, but they also feature a solid range of keg lines and an extensive gin menu. Their food menu comes highly recommended, and you can often catch live music.
Stop 5: The Old Bike Store We cap off our tour at The Old Bike Store, another brilliant, dog-friendly micropub. It's the perfect place for a final drink, with ten constantly rotating keg lines ensuring there's always something new to try. You can also grab cans for takeaway.
