Walking Tour of the Pubs of Arundel
View the Trip on CAMRA's Website with Pub Links and Map
Come and join us on a walking tour around the Pubs of historic Arundel. We will start at the White Hart at midday (see itinerary for details) and then take a gentle 1 ½ mile stroll around the town stopping off at Arundel’s Pubs on the way. We aim to finish around 5:00pm. Jamie Hooper will be our tour guide.
There are plenty of places to get food in Arundel and we have identified, on the itinerary, those pubs that are good for food. Please note Arundel can get very busy on a Saturday so you may want to plan ahead.
Arundel Station is a 10-minute walk from the White Hart. It’s a 38min train journey from Worthing (change at Ford) with trains every 30 mins (6 mins and 36 mins past the hour). From Littlehampton it’s a 20-minute train journey (change at Ford) with trains running every hour at 56 minutes past the hour.
For those with a bus-pass and with the time for a more leisurely journey the Stagecoach No 9 bus connects Worthing and Littlehampton with Arundel (get off at the Queen Street stop).
There are also a limited number of seats available on a minibus that is scheduled to depart from Worthing Station at 11:30am on the Saturday morning. It will pick up from Arundel at 5:30pm for the return journey and drop everyone back to Worthing Station. You can book your seat via Tckty using this link. It is on a first come first served bases and costs £10 per head. There is a limit of 2 seats per person booking.
If you do come and join us on this lovely walking tour, please be prepared to score the beers you drink on the CAMRA website. This is a great opportunity for us to check out the quality of the beer served in Arundel and to let other CAMRA members know where the best places are to get great beer.
