This year we have chosen St Barnabas House as our festival charity. St Barnabas House is a charity whose aim is to provide high quality specialist palliative care both within the hospice and in the comfort of patients’ homes treating adults with advanced progressive life-limiting illnesses.

Patients are never charged for their care. It costs £6.5 million each year to run the hospice and only a small part of these costs are state funded. This means that the majority of the money has to be raised through voluntary donations from local communities within the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas.

Over the last 45 years, the hospice has cared for thousands of patients and their families in the areas of Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield.

Worthing’s wonderful Wurlitzer will be played during the Friday evening sessions and the Saturday afternoon session. This organ is a combination of select orchestral voices and superb craftsmanship. The sound you hear is produced from over 1,500 pipes, which come from the two organ chambers each side of the stage. The pipes range from 2 inches to 32 feet in length. Alongside side these pipes are real percussion instruments, a Xylophone, Vibraharp, Sleigh Bells, Drums, Cymbals, even a set of Cathedral Chimes!
