Branch Roles

We offer a wide range of volunteer roles within our branch. See the descriptions below:

  • Chairman

    The role of Branch Chairman is to oversee the administration of Branch, organise meetings and help encourage local CAMRA members to get involved with Branch activities, and represent your Branch at Regional meetings.

  • Vice Chairman

    The purpose of this role is to support the Chairman and deputise in their absence to ensure that all branch activities are conducted to meet CAMRA’s aims and objectives and in accordance with CAMRA’s rules and policy documents.

  • Branch Secretary

    The role of the Branch Secretary is to support the Chairman in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Branch - including its compliance to the Branch's constitution.

  • Branch Contact

    To be the liaison between the CAMRA Central Office and your local Branch.

  • Beer Festival Organiser

    To organise a beer festival in accordance with CAMRA's rules and policy documents.

  • Treasurer

    The role of Branch Treasurer is to keep the Branch accounts up to date and help the Branch run smoothly.

  • Membership Secretary

    The role of the Membership Secretary is to recruit and retain CAMRA members and encourage participation.

  • Pubs Officer

    The purpose of this role is to compile and submit the Branch's proposed entries for CAMRA's annual Good Beer Guide (GBG) and to maintain the details of pubs within the branch area. These data supports a wide range of pub campaigning activities, information for pub guides and surveys.

  • Social Secretary

    The purpose of this role is to organise social activities for the Branch

  • Web Master

    The purpose of this role is to develop and manage the Branch website so that it is effective in promoting CAMRA’s campaigns and activities in the Branch area, and further afield as appropriate.
